Sorry about the lack of updates here…
Sorry about the lack of updates, there simply hasn’t been a whole lot to post about. I’ve been taking a break from animating because of problems with my right hand (which I briefly mentioned a couple of posts ago), and in the meantime I’ve been slowly putting together the FilmCow DVD.
For those wondering about my hand, it seems to be getting better although my doctor still isn’t sure what’s wrong with it. He did a few tests, including – and this freaked me out – an MRI of my brain, but everything came back fine, so who knows. Thankfully my hand is doing better enough that I can work again, so the DVD has been chugging along nicely.
I’m also starting work on an album – it’s going to be all original songs and it’ll hopefully be done by the end of the year. I figure I should finally put all those instruments I have to good use.
Lookin forward to hearing more music, “Nuts About Pistachios” is still one of my most listened to tracks.
Just don’t let your talking drum distract you too much from the spatulas..

That album sounds fantastic! You should make that song at the end of “lamas with hats” a full song, that would be great.
It’s gonna be great to hear more music before the spatula madness release.
I had the same problem, only it was my whole arm. I got an MRI of my brain and it was normal. Turns out it was just a swollen muscle in my back pressing against a nerve. I took an advil and my arm was perfectly fine 5 or 6 hours later. Maybe you should try it?

About the mri:
There’s a program called Osirix that makes a 3d model of the scan using all the slices – it’s pretty neat, I did it to mine.

Also, I highly support the idea of making a full album. I’d buy it!

i’ve been hoping for an album for so long, but i didn’t see it happening any time soon. it better be released on disc, though. mp3s are for squares.
i would love an album i have some songs on my mp3 (and i turn the mp3 on to play games and crap with cool fight music) an (makes me smile comes on) and its like WTF!!?? and i hope the DVD is cool but not to pricey$$ im not rich i probaly buy it….

Would the music album contain the songs you already have like “Makes Me Smile”, “In the Ocean Blue”, and “Financial Advice Bar?”
That album should most definetly contain “my friends my friends” and other of your oh so delightful songs, from animations, along with the new original ones

No. It’s “all original songs,” meaning stuff you haven’t heard before. The songs from my videos are already available for download for free.
I realize the upcoming DVD is also stuff already available for free, but at least with that you’re getting them in higher quality and in a TV-playable format. There really isn’t much of an advantage to getting the FilmCow songs on a CD.
Hey Jason, What is you’re next animated short about? Also look for an e-mail with an attached movie. It is from a windows though…

OMGSH!!!!!!!! Etienne you are SOOOOOOOOOO right!! They should make more charlie the unicorn videos! There soooo funny! And sense im talking about charlie the unicorn right not I just wanted to say that I love the songs “the bannana king ” and ” candy mountian ” and ” the fishy song ” ( or what ever it is when they biuld a snowman took charlies hore and his kidney ) PURE GOLD BABY!! And anyother songs they have! and I think the blue unicorn is so funny!
